Joan Rivers’s presence was felt at Maxwell’s Chophouse last night. The reason? The launch of Joan Rivers Confidential, a book coauthored by Rivers’s daughter, Melissa, and Scott Currie. Cohosting the evening were a glittering crew of friends (and confidantes) of Rivers, Blaine Trump, Cindy Adams, and Deborah Norville, all of whom had guests including Martha Stewart, television host Graham Norton, and designers including Elie Tahari and Peter Som in stitches. After everyone sipped on the evening’s signature cocktails, dubbed the “Liz Taylor” and “The Tonight Show,” using Rivers-friendly 3 Kilos Vodka (it comes in a gilded package), they shared laughs while reading out the icon’s jokes that were scrawled across the walls.
