“Judging the Tastemaker Awards granted us the opportunity to see the next generation of top designers as they cultivate and develop their talents,” said designer and judge Jeffrey Alan Marks. “I am very excited about these winners and cannot wait to see where their careers take them.”
BHDM was chosen Trade Tastemaker Designer of the Year for reflecting Wayfair’s “philosophy of innovation, inclusivity and accessibility,” according to the furnishings retailer. Dan Mazzarini and Brian Humphrey, the designers behind BHDM, are known for their versatility, balancing masculine and feminine elements and creating a wide variety of residential and commercial spaces.

Marks, alongside designers Candice Olson and Windsor Smith, chose the six winners out of a pool of more than 4,500 entries.
“We were working with an impressive entry pool—designers with a keen eye for space planning, color, pattern, texture and scale,” said Olson. “It was no easy task to select just six winners, but these amazing designers deserve the title.”
The winners and judges will be honored at a reception in Los Angeles, and more on the winning designers can be viewed ONLINE.
